We enjoy going to the weekly viewing of a film from South East Asian Film Directors……..
Seeing the World from their perspective…………
    Keep up the good work……….

  2. Bernie Bernales Says:

We enjoyed the "Kaleldo (Summer Heat)" movie shown on 2/24/10. However, this movie should have been prefaced or identified as fictional, to say the least, because it was about a conjured screwed-up or dysfunctional family that is in no way typical or representative of Filipino families. It represents little, if any, reality of the Filipino culture, or in particular the culture of the people from the Province of Pampanga. Americans and other ethnic groups should not generalize their impressions of Filipinos based on this fictional movie, which is far from the truth. Otherwise, the movie and the acting are fine.

  3. Doreen Says:

Watching CSEAS films is traveling without paying for the plane fare. Wonderful insight into different cultures…some funny, some tragic…but in the end all are a reflection of who we are. If we are lucky, we can apply the humor, insight and humanity that these movies provide to our daily interactions. Or else not. Whatevah. Most are worth seeing (though its a bit cold sometimes in the auditorium).
